I bet they'd have all gladly paid &amp;pound;300, and the taxpayer would have saved &amp;pound;100,000s in police costs.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I don't disagree about 'banopticon' idea per se. But Britain has a reasonably long history of fair trials and not persecuting people.
